Dave has been riding, racing, teaching, and exploring the world on mountain bikes since the dawn of the sport from a start in Durango Colorado, and now from his home base of 20 years, Grand Junction.
With more than a decade of teaching, coaching, and guiding, Dave is a certified instructor through PMBIA and also teaches with a national instructional organization. His love of riding inspired him to find and direct the Grand Junction Off-Road mountain bike event as a means of showcasing the amazing riding in Grand Junction.
Passionate about trails, Dave has designed and led the build of iconic trails throughout the Grand Valley and loves to share his deep knowledge of the unique landscapes in the Valley.
A proud father of two skilled mountain biking daughters, the whole family enjoys riding together. When he isn’t riding, Dave guides and instructs on Standup Paddleboards, shoots photography, and creates furniture and art in his reclaimed wood studio.
